Technical Oscillators
Real-time evaluation of 60+ complex momentum, volume, and volatility indicators including MACD, RSI, and Bollinger Bands.
1. Momentum Oscillators: RSI & Stochastic
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) quantifies velocity and magnitude of directional price movements over a 14-period lookback. Readings above 70 indicate statistically extended momentum (overbought), while values below 30 denote oversold conditions. Convergence and divergence patterns between price and oscillator extremes signal potential trend exhaustion.
2. Trend & Moving Average Envelopes: MACD & EMA
The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) oscillator measures momentum through exponential smoothing differentials (12 EMA minus 26 EMA). The 9-period signal line acts as an inflection trigger, while histogram expansion highlights acceleration in the underlying trend direction.
3. Volatility Regimes: Bollinger Bands & ATR
Bollinger Bands establish statistical boundaries two standard deviations away from a 20-period moving average. Extended volatility compressions (bandwidth squeezes) typically precede significant market expansions. Average True Range (ATR) normalizes absolute price volatility across different equity classes.
